Awarded by the Wolfson Foundation annually for over forty years, the Wolfson History Prize is the UK’s most prestigious history prize. It recognises and celebrates books which combine excellence in research with readability. |
Los nominados fueron:
- Survivors: Children’s Lives after the Holocaust, de Rebecca Clifford.
- Black Spartacus: The Epic Life of Toussaint Louverture, de Sudhir Hazareesingh.
- Ravenna: Capital of Empire, Crucible of Europe, de Judith Herrin.
- Double Lives: A History of Working Motherhood, de Helen McCarthy.
- Burning the Books: A History of Knowledge Under Attack, de Richard Ovenden (la traducción castellana fue publicada por Crítica el pasado abril).
- Atlantic Wars: From the Fifteenth Century to the Age of Revolution, de Geoffrey Plank.
El ganador fue Black Spartacus.
Compré Ravenna hace unas semanas, en su edición de bolsillo; será una de mis lecturas de 2022. _________________ Web personal
